New members are always welcome!

Update, Saturday 19 February 2022: Very sorry, but due to the recent and the forecast weather our hedgelaying on the Middlewood Way tomorrow has been cancelled.  Thanks to all who were planning to come, and hope to see you for something else soon!

February 2022 update: there’s been a delay in getting our next dates confirmed, but we will be out hedgelaying on the Middlewood Way again on Sunday 20 February 2021!  Please contact us here if you’d like to join us – new volunteers welcome!

A downloadable PDF version of our current programme is available here: SMCV Programme October to December 2021

All of SMCV’s one-day activities take place on Sundays. The sites at which we work are in and around Greater Manchester; you can arrange with the co-ordinators to make your own way to a site and meet us there, or we’ll try to arrange shared lifts when possible. If you want to come to an event please contact the co-ordinators to say so, and to confirm final arrangements. If you have questions about the group or the work we do, please contact us here or contact any of the co-ordinators listed on the programme. Please also contact us if you would like to be added to our e-mailing list for reminders of future activities.

Usually, we have a weekend away three times a year in the Peak District National Park doing a full weekend’s conservation with the Peak Park Ranger Service.  We haven’t re-started those weekends since the advent of COVID, but might be able to do so in 2022.
